Experience
Josh is a Mental Performance Consultant and the founder of Pure Potential Consulting, LLC. In June 2024, Josh received his master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver, and he is now in the latter half of his doctoral training at Roosevelt University in downtown Chicago, pursuing licensure as a clinical psychologist.
Josh is originally from Chicago, Illinois, and helped carry his high school golf team to back-to-back state finals appearances. Additionally, Josh played collegiate golf at Illinois Wesleyan University, where he was a part of the national championship team in 2018.
Throughout Josh’s career in mental performance, he has worked with numerous elite-level collegiate teams and many high school and collegiate athletes. Josh’s approach to mental performance consulting stems from evidence-based findings in psychology and has been refined through numerous applied experiences in school and out in the field. Josh specializes in working with athletes on mental skills that help them build confidence, explore new levels of motivation, become increasingly resilient, and facilitate individual growth in and out of sport. Most importantly, Josh’s approach to his work centers on prioritizing the pure joy one seeks while playing their sport.
In his spare time, Josh likes to stay active, specifically outside, when possible. He enjoys walks, exploring local parks, and playing just about any outdoor sport. Josh also likes playing the ukulele, spending quality time with friends, and listening to entertainment podcasts.
